Across from the Qutb Minar is Al Minar. A huge unfinished
masonry core, meant to be the base of a tower, abandoned project.
Surface covered in rock protrusions. A smoky hole up near its top, like a
hot needle's been pushed through. Walking around we see several more
gapes, where it had thrust across again at right angles, through into
the blue. Flash of long-tailed green - parrots - parakeets - nesting? -
in that hole, and the brown furred darting of Delhi squirrels up the
rockface - a vertical life of small creatures.
