He can also be found in various towns along the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, where he travels with his comedy, mentalism and magic act. Max studied under the late Sathiaseelan "Moon" Munsamy, the well-known Chatsworth magician. He also cites Indian magician Vazhakunnam Neelakandan Namboothiri as one of his key influences.
